BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man died two weeks after being repeatedly punched in the face in the Bronx, according to the NYPD.
Mark Gocul, 50, of the Bronx, was punched in the face multiple times at his Furman Avenue home around 7:30 a.m. on June 23, police said. The incident was reported hours later, when police found Gocul at the hospital with swelling and bruising on his face.
Gocul died Saturday, police said.
The Medical Examiner has deemed the death a homicide, but police had not made any arrests by Sunday.
