Boy, 12, critically injured after getting struck by car in Brooklyn: NYPD

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A 12-year-old boy was critically injured early Sunday morning after getting hit by a car in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.

It happened near Church Avenue and Kings Highway in East Flatbush around 1 a.m. The boy was struck by a BMW sedan traveling north on Kings Highway, according to authorities.

The driver remained on the scene. No criminality is expected, per police.

The child was conscious and alert when EMS arrived, according to authorities.
