Bahori Singh
(67), who was going to a temple close to his house, was hit by a hayva truck from behind on Thursday morning, resulting in his death.
Police officials said after the accident, Singh, who was bleeding profusely, was rushed to the nearest hospital, but doctors referred him to neighbouring
Gaya
in Bihar.
He was declared brought dead by doctors there. The driver managed to flee with the vehicle. Pratappur police have launched a search to catch him. Former labour minister
Satyanand Bhogta
expressed grief over the death.
The incident occurred near
Pratappur Mor
on the Chatra-Dobhi main road. Bahori was a resident of
Godobar
village.
The family said, like every day, on Thursday morning, Singh was going to worship near
Devi Mandap
when the accident killed him.
