captures the strange sight of a woman cook pushing a wooden bench into a burning clay stove, complete with a large pot atop it, raising eyebrows and prompting authorities to delve into this unorthodox arrangement for cooking midday meals in a Bihar government school, reports Manoj Chaurasia.
The education department launched a probe into the allegations that wooden desks and benches intended for students were set ablaze to serve as fuel, allegedly at the Upgraded Middle School in Korhar under Bihta block.
Local RJD MLA Bhai Birendra, who had recently donated desks to the school, reported the matter to the DM and the district education officer, urging action against the school authorities. "I have learnt that the authorities ordered the cook to burn desks to cook midday meals since they didn't have LPG cylinders or firewood. Now, they are trying to make the cook a scapegoat."
