'Animal' box office Day 19: Ranbir Kapoor's film witnesses gradual decline

Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal' is witnessing a gradual decline in collection in its third week. The film has considerably slowed down in theatres after an eventful two weeks. On its 19th day at the box office, December 19, the film added another Rs 5 crore to its total. Starting December 21, theatres will allot majority of the screens to Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' and Prabhas' 'Salaar'.

RANBIR KAPOOR'S 'ANIMAL' WITNESSES GRADUAL DECLINE

The relationship action-drama, also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor, released in theatres on December 1. The film earned over Rs 835 crore in 17 days and is performing well.

In its third week in theatres, 'Animal' has been witnessing a decline in collection. Yet, it has been adding almost Rs 5 crore everyday. On Day 19, Tuesday, the film is estimated to have raked in Rs 5 crore net at the domestic box office.

The 19-day total collection of 'Animal' now stands at Rs 522.94 crore in India. On December 19, the film recorded an occupancy of 11.94 per cent in the country.

ABOUT ‘ANIMAL’

‘Animal’ has been written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, the film also starred Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Siddhanth Karnik amongst others. The film is about the tumultuous relationship between a father and son. Ranbir played the role of Ranvijay, who is a ruthless man consumed by vengeance.

'Animal' released in theatres on December 1 in multiple languages. It is one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2023.
