America at odds with #Trump'sNewAmerica agenda in 2024 election

NEW DELHI: As political heat continues to gather steam in the United States ahead of presidential polls, Republicans and Democrats are locked in a fierce war of words over the possible future of America if former president Donald

Trump

returns to the White House for his second term.
The point of contention this time is a video titled Trump's New America by Eleven Films, which presumes the political future of the US in case Trump takes oath as President.

The video portrays Trump as a "Supreme Leader" who would "impose"

Marshal Law

after assuming the top and the most powerful post.
The video shows that July 4 would no longer be celebrated as Independence Day, rather Trump would declare January 6 as the US birthday to honour "patriots" who participated in Capitol riots that broke out after Joe Biden was declared president-elect.
The video claims citizens "failing to participate in quadrant festivities or going for abortion would be met with harsh punishment and immediate incarnation in local detention camp". The clip states that migrants, dreamers and refugees would be considered "enemies of America".

While Trump's supporters and Republicans have ridiculed the video as "silly" and "hilarious", the Democrats or those who don't want Trump as President backed the video as "terrifying".
"I find it hilarious. Trump is good at terrifying you with his wonderful sense of humour. It really encourages me to vote for him," wrote a user named, Jeffrey RJ La Tour.
"This is so silly... Only scary thing is seeing the comments of people that think that this could be a real possibility," another user named Danny wrote.

"People might think this is far-fetched, but this is exactly what happens in places like Russia, North Korea and China...all the dictators that Trump loves. Everyone has to work like hell to make sure we never see" a user named Brad Bo wrote in support of the video.
"Terrifying. I would never award my vote to a Republican. They’ve sold us out for their own political power," wrote another user

Mia

while coming on the video.
In a poll carried out by Wall Street Journal last month, it was found that 37 per cent of respondents were affirmative of Biden's role as president, while 61 per cent of respondents disapproved of Biden's presidency. On a potential Biden-Trump 2024 rematch, 47 percent of respondents said they will vote for Trump, while 43 percent of those surveyed said they will pick Biden.
Further, 37% of the respondents said they would vote for Trump if the 2024 election were held today. Meanwhile, only 31% said they would vote for Biden.
At least 49 per cent of participants indicated that policies implemented by Trump have personally benefited them, whereas 37 per cent felt adversely affected by these measures.
In contrast, 53 per cent expressed that policies implemented by Biden have had a negative impact on them, while 23 per cent believed they have been beneficial, as per the survey results.
