in Purnia on Saturday to discuss preparations for the Rahul Gandhi-led

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

, reports Sheezan Nezami. Their absence raised eyebrows amid the political turmoil in the state.
Congress legislative party leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan played down the absence. "Only those MLAs given responsibility to oversee the yatra attended the meeting. This was not the meeting of the legislative party. Nothing much should be read into it," Khan said.
Rahul's yatra is expected to enter Bihar via Kishanganj on Monday, with a rally lined up at Purnia the next day. Khan said a meeting of Congress legislators would be held Sunday, adding "all 19 MLAs will attend".
