BENGALURU: As many as 583 casino coins of different denominations issued by a club in Goa were recovered from the Kalaburagi residence of
BBMP
's revenue inspector (Kengeri division) Basavaraj Magi during Lokayukta raids Thursday. The monetary value of the casino coins is yet to be ascertained.
Magi was among the 11 govt officials (including a retired individual) raided by Lokayukta police across the state in disproportionate assets cases.
The early morning raids were carried out at 56 locations in nine districts.
Investigations revealed that Magi was a member of the casino located in Panaji, Goa. "On Thursday, we raided 11 places related to Magi. We discovered that he owns 15 sites, two residential houses, 32 acres of agricultural land and Rs 59 lakhs in cash," a press note from the Lokayuka said, adding that his total assets are valued at Rs 3.3 crore.
Lokayukta police are yet to estimate the proportion of disproportionate assets of the raided officials.
