3 people shot in East Harlem: NYPD

EAST HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) – Three people were shot in East Harlem Thursday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

The shooting happened just after 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson Houses NYCHA development on 112th Street, according to the FDNY. Police believe the suspect shot two people before turning the gun on themself, sources told PIX11 News.

A 40-year-old woman and 19-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were rushed to an area hospital, according to the NYPD. A 25-year-old was shot once and was in critical condition, according to the NYPD.

The shooting is believed to be a domestic incident, sources told PIX11 News. The relationship between the three people and the motive of the shooting were not immediately known.
