2 people struck, 1 fatally, by vehicle near Queens school: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A person was fatally struck by a vehicle in Sunnyside, Queens, on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Officials said they received a 911 call at 3:27 p.m. about two females struck on 46-02 47th Ave.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The other victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.

The vehicle involved fled the area after the incident, police said.

Property records show the address is for a New York public school, I.S. 125 Thom J. McCann.
