LONGWOOD, The Bronx (PIX11) -- An 18-year-old man was shot and killed in Longwood Monday evening, according to the NYPD.
The shooting happened around 7:04 p.m. in front of 961 Rev James Polite Ave.
The 18-year-old sustained gunshot wounds to the head and torso, police say. He was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead.
Police say the victim did not have an ID on him. He was later identified as Joshua Sparrow.
Witnesses told police that there were possibly multiple perps fleeing. Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
