WILLIAMSBRIDGE, The Bronx (PIX11) -- A 14-year-old boy was stabbed in the head while on a MTA bus in the Bronx Friday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. on a MTA Bx8 bus near East Gun Hill Road and Bronxwood Avenue.
Police say an unknown individual approached the boy and stabbed him in the left side of his head with a cutting instrument before fleeing on foot.
EMS took the boy to a local hospital in stable condition.
The NYPD is searching for the suspect involved and released surveillance footage of the suspect.
