NEW DELHI:

Gautam Gambhir

is known for his serious demeanor both on and off the field. Whether it's playing cricket, travelling, attending events, being in the dugout or speaking to players, Gambhir is rarely seen smiling and often maintains a stern expression.
In a video shared by the Kolkata Knight Riders, host Cyrus Broacha playfully remarked about Gambhir that he has a lovely smile.

To this, Gambhir, who is currently the team mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders, smiled and said: 'Lovely! thank you. Yeh toh meri wife ne bhi nahi bola (even my wife never said that). Thank you very much."
In his reaction, Gambhir pointed out that people very easily make perceptions without ever knowing the person.

"In this country, if there's one thing that's the most difficult to beat, it's perception. I mean, someone who doesn't even know me they have got a perception about me that he is intense. And why should I not have a game face? Because people don't come to watch me smile. People come to watch KKR win," Gambhir said.
WATCH:

KKR have won the IPL title twice in 2012 and 2014 and both the triumphs came under Gambhir's captaincy.
KKR are currently second in the

IPL 2024

points tally with 4 wins and 2 losses in 6 matches.
