Xiaomi has scheduled the launch event for 6pm today (March 7) and the event can be live streamed on company’s official YouTube channel. The company launched the smartphones last month at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
Xiaomi 14 series expected price
Reports indicate that Xiaomi might introduce solely the standard Xiaomi 14 variant in the Indian market. Additionally, the official pricing for the Xiaomi 14 remains undisclosed; however, insiders suggest an anticipated price of Rs 75,000.
Xiaomi 14 series launch: What we know so far
The Indian iteration of the Xiaomi 14 is anticipated to boast similar specifications to its Chinese counterpart. Featuring a 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED panel, the smartphone will offer support for 1.5K resolution, up to a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the vanilla Xiaomi 14 will be paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. However, it is expected that lower RAM and storage configurations will also be available in India.
In terms of photography, the smartphone will house a triple rear camera setup comprising an OIS-enabled 50MP Hunter 900 primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and another 50MP ultra-wide-angle unit. Additionally, the Xiaomi 14 will feature a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Last week, Xiaomi officially introduced its latest HyperOS in India, with the Xiaomi 14 being the second phone to debut with the new operating system in the country. The Poco X6 Pro, launched in January, was the initial device to come with HyperOS pre-installed.
The Xiaomi 14 is set to include a 4,610 mAh battery supporting 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. NFC functionality will also be present for facilitating contactless payments.
