NEW DELHI:
WWE superstar
Dakota Kai has found herself at the center of speculation after fans noticed her sans knee brace during this week's edition of Monday Night RAW. The
Damage CTRL
member, who has been away from in-ring competition for nearly nine months, provided a health update to address the concerns and curiosity surrounding her return.
Kai's last in-ring appearance dates back to the May 12, 2023, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where she teamed up with Bayley in a title match against Raquel Rodriguez and
Liv Morgan
for the Women's Tag Team Championship.
Unfortunately, both
Dakota Kai
and Liv Morgan suffered injuries during the match, with Kai tearing her ACL and Morgan injuring her shoulder.
While Dakota Kai returned to television at SummerSlam 2023 to celebrate her teammate IYO SKY's WWE Women's Championship victory, she has yet to step back into the ring for competition. Fans took notice when, during this week's RAW, Kai was seen without her knee brace, sparking inquiries about her potential in-ring return.
Addressing the speculation, Dakota Kai took to a livestream, and a clip shared by CrispyWrestling's Twitter handle shed light on her current situation. Kai explained that the absence of her knee brace during Monday Night RAW was merely an oversight.
"Also, I actually forgot my brace, that's why I didn't have it on, on Monday. That doesn't mean anything cause you've probably seen someone like Zoey, she still wears her brace. I will have to be wearing it when I wrestle but I forgot it [laughs]. Don't read into it, you guys, I literally just forgot it," Kai reassured her fans.
