WPL 2025 Schedule out! Holders RCB take on Gujarat Giants in season opener on February 14

NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the schedule of the 2025 edition of the

which will see defending champions

The third edition will have a total of 22 matches across four cities -- Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai -- with the final scheduled on March 15.

The season will kick off at the newly built BCA Stadium in Baroda, which will host the first 6 matches. The action will then move to Bengaluru, followed by Lucknow, which will also make its WPL venue debut this season.
The final leg of the tournament will then be hosted in Mumbai, which will also include Eliminator and Final on March 13 and 15 respectively.

In 2024, the WPL was held across Bengaluru and New Delhi.
"The reigning champions

RCB

will have their first home game on February 21 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium when they face former title holders Mumbai Indians," the BCCI said in a statement.
The table-toppers will earn a direct berth in the final, while the second and third-placed teams will clash in Eliminator, for a chance to compete in the final.

Continuing the format from the previous season, all matches in the third edition will be single-headers.
