NEW YORK (PIX11) – A worker was extricated from an elevator on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge early Tuesday morning, according to the FDNY.
It happened around midnight. The worker was trapped in an elevator that got stuck in one of the towers, per fire officials.
Firefighters rescued the worker, according to the FDNY. One of the firefighters was injured in the process, per fire officials.
The worker was not injured, according to the FDNY.
