Woman smacked with hockey stick in random attack on Lower East Side: NYPD

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A woman was struck with a hockey stick on the Lower East Side last week, according to the NYPD.

The 26-year-old woman was walking on East 6th Street around 10:30 p.m. when a man approached her and hit her in the leg without warning, according to authorities.

EMS treated the victim, police said.

The suspect, who was last seen wearing a black jacket, light-colored hoodie, light-colored pants and multi-colored sneakers, was last seen running eastbound on East 6th Street, according to authorities.
