KIPS BAY, Manhattan (PIX11) --- A woman was fatally shot in the head and stuffed inside a sleeping bag before she was found on a Manhattan street Friday, police said.
Authorities found the unidentified woman, 31, with a gunshot wound to the head in the bag near 207 East 27th St. in Kips Bay at around 5 p.m., according to the NYPD. The medical examiner deemed the incident a homicide.
The circumstances of the woman's death were unclear.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
