Woman's body found floating in Hudson River near Pier 53: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A woman’s body was found floating near Pier 53 in the Hudson River Tuesday morning, according to authorities. 

Fire officials responded to the call near West and Bloomfield streets in the Meatpacking District just before 8:30 a.m.

When the woman was pulled from the water, she was unconscious and unresponsive, police said. There were no visible signs of trauma and she did not have any identification on her.  

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York will determine the cause of death.
