THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly hit a woman in the face with a scooter and stole her purse in the Bronx in April.
The incident happened around 12:18 a.m. near Yankee Stadium on April 17, according to the NYPD.
The 56-year-old victim was walking out of the subway station at East 161st Street when two individuals approached her. They allegedly told the victim in Spanish, "What a beautiful purse," before hitting her with the scooter and punching her multiple times, police said.
The suspects allegedly took her purse and fled toward Walton Avenue, according to the NYPD.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the two suspects.
