Woman found in flames, killed on Brooklyn subway: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A woman died after she was found engulfed in flames on an F train Sunday morning, according to the NYPD. 

The woman was asleep on a stopped F train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station around 7:30 a.m. Sunday when a stranger lit her on fire, police said.

The fire was extinguished and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. 

Her accused attacker ran, and police have not made any arrests Sunday afternoon. The death is being investigated as a homicide, police said.
