Woman arrested for allegedly attacking cello player in Herald Square station: NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11) – A woman was arrested Wednesday night in the attack of a cello player in the Herald Square subway station, according to the NYPD.

Amira Hunter, 23, was taken into custody in Lower Manhattan, according to authorities. She's accused of using a cellist's water bottle to attack him earlier this month, police said.

The attack was unprovoked, according to authorities. The victim, 29-year-old Iain Forrest, told PIX11 News he was busking as a side gig during medical school.

He said this incident was the second time he was attacked in the past six months.
