Woman accused of stabbing mother, 84, to death on Long Island: SCPD

DIX HILLS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A woman was accused of stabbing her mother inside a Long Island home on Wednesday, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

Police officers were called to a home on Carman Court in Dix Hills around 9 p.m. Josephine Bekatoros, 84, was found stabbed to death in the home, according to authorities.

Bekatoros' daughter, 51-year-old Diana Bekatoros, was arrested at her home on Center Boulevard in Long Island City in connection to the stabbing, police said.

Diana Bekatoros was charged with murder. She will be arraigned in court on Thursday.
