UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – Whole Foods will open a new quick shop store on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, the grocer announced.

The first location is expected to open on 3rd Avenue near 69th Street. Whole Foods said the new store won't replace the traditional stores, but is trying to make things easier for people on the go.

The store will range from 7,000 to 14,000 square feet, about half the size of a regular Whole Foods. The store will have grab-and-go meals along with other weekly essentials, the company said.

There will also be a smaller produce selection than offered at the traditional Whole Foods market, which already has 17 locations across the city.

The stores will also have a juice and coffee shop. There is no official opening date scheduled for the new locations.
