NEW YORK (PIX11) – An envelope containing suspicious white powder was opened at the New York County Courthouse in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.
Police were called to 60 Centre Street around 9:30 a.m. A court officer opened the envelope, which is when the white powder fell onto his lap, sources told PIX11 News.
The officer refused medical attention, according to sources. The white powder is being tested, police said.
The envelope was reportedly addressed to Judge Arthur Engoron, who presided over former President Donald Trump's civil fraud case.
Police responded to a bomb threat at Engoron's home back in January.
