When Kamal Haasan revealed Christopher Nolan's Tamil connection

Acclaimed South star Kamal Haasan had once met Christopher Nolan, and the pair had discussed films. Later, Haasan shared an interesting anecdote regarding their meeting.

South star Kamal Haasan had once met acclaimed Hollywood director Christopher Nolan. The two discussed movies and during their interaction, Haasan got to know that Nolan had watced his film, Papanasam. The film was a remake of the Malayalam movie Drishyam, which starred Mohanlal in the lead role.

Haasan had even shared a photo of the two of them interacting over dinner. He captioned the photo, "Met Mr Christopher Nolan. Apologized for seeing Dunkirk in the digital format and in return I am sending Hey Ram in digital format for him to see. Was surprised to know he had seen Papanasam."

The two had met when Nolan was in India to attend the three-day film event, Reframing the Future of Film, organised by Film Heritage Foundation. Nolan's films Interstellar and Dunkirk were screened during the event.

On the work front, Kamal Haasan is currently awaiting the release of his actioner, Indian 2, which also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddharth among others.

Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 will release in cinemas on July 12.
