WhatsApp

has started rolling out a feature to share polls in Channels. As reported by WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned app has introduced new share polls in channels for

Android

beta testers.
Android beta testers can use the feature by installing the update version 2.24.2.11. The new option to create polls may be available within the chat attachment sheet.

This implies that certain channel owners now have the ability to generate and distribute polls within their channels. It's essential to highlight that these polls can be restricted to a single choice by channel owners, aligning with the poll functionality available in individual and group chats.
“This feature has been developed with privacy in mind as poll votes are protected for added privacy. This means that the option selected by channel followers always remains confidential, ensuring a secure and anonymous polling experience. By safeguarding the anonymity of poll voters, WhatsApp aims to offer a more private experience within channels, creating a trusted space for channel followers without concerns about their individual preferences being exposed,” mentions the report.
WhatsApp recently rolled out the feature to create stickers

WhatsApp has introduced the capability for

iPhone

users to effortlessly create, edit, and share their own stickers within the app, eliminating the need to exit the application or rely on drag-and-drop from external image galleries or unofficial third-party apps. The sticker creation process on WhatsApp is made convenient through features like auto-crop, accompanied by a range of editing tools such as text, drawing, and the option to overlay other stickers. After being sent, the sticker is automatically stored in the sticker tray, enabling users to resend it at their convenience.
