NEW YORK (PIX11) – Summer is nearly here, and that means the sun will stay out a little longer each day.

So, when will the sun stay out the latest in New York City?

The sun will set at 8:32 p.m. between June 20 and July 4, according to The Old Farmer's Almanac. The summer solstice, the longest day of the year, occurs on June 21.

The sun will then set a little bit earlier each evening beginning on July 5 at 8:31 p.m. By the end of August, the sun will set at 7:30 p.m.
