's power brigade turned out in full force to attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at
Ram Temple
in
Ayodhya
on January 22. The who's who of Business India who attended the ceremony included Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani; Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises; Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of the Aditya Birla Group; Hero Enterprise chairman Sunil Munjal; Zee CEO Punit Goenka; Vedanta chief Anil Agarwal; Niranjan Hiranandani, MD of the Hiranandani Group, Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal and Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu.
Mittal said that he was feeling "blessed" to be in Ayodhya. "It's an amazing day. The entire country had been waiting for years for this day," he added.
Kumar Mangalam Birla said he was a 'big' Ram Bhakt. "This is very special for me. This is a symbol of hope, optimism and positivity. It feels great to be sitting here. It's quite unbelievable. It's a very happy occasion. All of India is celebrating. In fact, the whole world is seeing what this is all about. Every Indian must make an attempt and come here and do darshan," he added.
The Ram Lalla idol was unveiled at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony after the hour-long rituals in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who led the ceremony. The Prime Minister walked inside the temple premises with a silver 'chattar' (umbrella) placed on a red folded dupatta.
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present inside the sanctorum during the rituals.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir is constructed in traditional Nagara style. Its length (east-west) is 380 feet; width is 250 feet and height is 161 feet; and is supported by a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors. The pillars and walls of the temple showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, Gods, and Goddesses. In the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor, the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ramlalla) has been placed.
