NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Westchester County Executive George Latimer is primarying Congressman Jamaal Bowman in the race for New York's 16th Congressional District. When asked why Latimer decided to challenge Bowman, he said, "There's much more performance art than performance in Washington." Though never mentioning his opponent by name, Latimer went on to say, "When you see yourself as a spokesperson for a movement, you're not showing the proper attention to the district and you're not working as part of a team toward the goal of the Democrats have in general."
