NEW DELHI: The

England cricket team

, under the leadership of Ben Stokes, has adopted a unique approach to communication in a departure from

traditional team dynamics

, as revealed by batting mainstay

Joe Root

.
Root disclosed that formal

team meetings

have become a thing of the past for England.
Speaking to 'Jio Cinema', Root emphasized the team's preference for organic discussions away from the cricket field.

"We don't really do team meetings anymore," he stated.
"That's one of the great things about how we do all of our conversations away from the game and just that enjoyment and buzz about spending time with each other," Root said.

Root highlighted the authenticity and genuineness of interactions that occur outside formal settings.
"We don't have to sit in a meeting room," he explained. "I think it's more authentic and more genuine when you can have it around a dinner table. Having a coffee in the morning or whatever, I think that's when you do your best learning."

Reflecting on England's playing style, Root underscored the team's aggressive approach, which has yielded success in the past.
"Regardless of the result of the game, we're always going to play how we know," he asserted. "It's what's given us success for a good period of time now. It's what brings the best out of us."
Root also highlighted the team's ability to perform under pressure, citing previous instances of remarkable comebacks.
"The last time we played India in England, in that one-off Test, we were miles behind in the game and we managed to chase that score down," he recalled.
In addition, Root praised

Ollie Pope

's stellar innings in the opening Test against India, describing it as one of the best overseas innings.
