looks up to India captain
Rohit Sharma
when it comes to inspiration and backing, and the young Rajasthan Royals opener wasted no time in rushing to former Mumbai Indians' captain Rohit after the Royals completed a nine-wicket win over the five-time champions in
IPL 2024
on Monday.

The two India openers were in opposite camps in Jaipur, but their camaraderie and Jaiswal's respect for his senior was very much evident.
In a JioCinema video reposted by Rajasthan Royals on 'X', Jaiswal, who opens batting for India alongside Rohit in international cricket, could be seen reaching up to his national team skipper and hugging him.

Chasing MI's 179 for 9, RR rode on Jaiswal's 104 not out off just 60 balls to achieve the target in 18.4 overs for their seventh win in eight matches, which also saw Jos Buttler contributing 35 runs and captain Sanju Samson scoring an unbeaten 38.
MI's innings was rocked by medium-pacer Sandeep Sharma's five-wicket haul (5 for 18), but the visitors still managed to reach a competitive total, thanks to Tilak Varma's 45-ball 65 and Nehal Wadhera's 49 in 24 balls.

The Jaiswal-Rohit camaraderie was highlighted in another social media post by RR, which they captioned with a quote from Jaiswal that read: "Rohit bhaiya helps me maintain a positive state of mind."
Jaiswal, who wasn't among the runs consistently so far in this edition of the IPL, finally broke the jinx with a century, which is his second in the IPL, besides 8 half-centuries.
Considering his heroics across formats since making his international debut, Jaiswal is almost an automatic choice as captain Rohit's opening partner for the T20 World Cup, which will be played in the USA and West Indies from June 2 to 29.
