Opener Ishan Kishan (69 off 34 balls) led the MI batting charts to give his team a flying start in run-chase. Kishan and Rohit Sharma (38 off 24 balls) added 101 runs for the opening partnership in 8.4 overs.
Suryakumar Yadav returned to his best with a 19-ball 52 and skipper Hardik Pandya's 21 not out off 6 balls ensured MI raced home.
When the RCB bowlers were being hit all around the park, a section of the crowd began shouting "Kohli ko bowling do (let Kohli bowl)." Hearing the chants, an amused Kohli gestured with a smile, indicating he doesn't want to bowl.

It was RCB's fifth defeat in six matches, which further faded their hopes of making it to the playoffs. Despite putting up a challenging 196/8 on the board with contributions from captain Faf du Plessis (61 off 40 balls), Rajat Patidar (50 off 26 balls) and Dinesh Karthik (53 off 23 balls), the RCB bowlers failed to deliver.
