NEW DELHI:

Virat Kohli

's popularity is unmatched, just a glimpse of him is enough to leave the crowd crazy. Ahead of India's

T20 World Cup

warm-up match against Bangladesh, the crowd's enthusiasm at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York reached its peak.
The moment Kohli stepped onto the field to join his fellow players for the practice session, the spectators couldn't contain their elation.
Kohli's arrival on the ground was met with thunderous applause and cheers from the stands. The spectators, who had gathered to witness the warm-up match, were thrilled to catch a glimpse of their favourite player.

However, Kohli has not featured in the match as he arrived in New York on Friday five days after his other team members.
"We will bat. Not for any particular reason, conditions here look a bit challenging. Virat has just arrived yesterday, he's going to miss out, the rest are all available and we'll see how to use them. We arrived quite early, so the body clock has adjusted, we just have to see how well we can adjust to these conditions," India captain

Rohit Sharma

said after winning the toss.
Kohli has scored 741 runs in 15 IPL games and he will still get three quality net sessions before the first game against Ireland on June 5.
