Batting legend
Sachin Tendulkar
was recently in Kashmir for a family vacation, and it was possibly on a flight during that trip when his fans couldn't hold back their excitement seeing India's most revered cricketer on board with them.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Tendulkar, sitting in the front row of the aircraft with his wife Anjali, got up to acknowledge his fans and fellow passengers as they broke into "Sachin...Sachin" chants, reminiscent of the days when stadiums across the world buzzed with those chants whenever Tendulkar came out to bat or reached a milestone.
A smiling Tendulkar waived at his fans who had their mobile cameras out to click his picture. "Thank you," said Tendulkar, before getting back to his seat.
Tendulkar, along with his wife and daughter, Sara, was on vacation in Kashmir, where he also visited a cricket bat manufacturer in Srinagar.
The manufacturing unit was located in Charsoo along the Srinagar-Jammu highway, where Tendulkar engaged in conversation with the workers.
"We were busy making bats when a vehicle stopped at our gate. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Little Master and his family," Mohammad Shaheen Parray, owner of MJ Sports, told PTI over phone.
