But on Saturday, Iyer had a special mention in the Indian team dressing room as he was one of the nominees for the fielding medal for the series award.
Iyer, who featured in the first two Tests against England was superb on the field, taking brilliant catches and was also involved in an outstanding run out as coach

lauded the 29-year-old.
Rohit Shrama and
Shubman Gill
were however jointly given the fielder of the series award for taking the most number of catches.
Left-arm spinner
Kuldeep Yadav
too got an award for his superb work in the outfield.
Team India on Saturday completed a 4-1 series sweep over England, winning the fifth and final Test in Dharamshala by an innings and 64 runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was adjudged Player of the Series for scoring 712 runs in 5 matches.
