A second conseuctive loss at the top of
IPL 2024
season has left Delhi Capitals' (DC) skipper
Rishabh Pant
fuming, which was evident in his reaction after getting dismissed against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Thursday.
Rajasthan edged Delhi by 12 runs in a last-over finish to register back-to-back wins, but the result further dampened Pant's return to competitive cricket since his horrific car accident in December 2022.

Delhi were chasing a challenging 186 to win and Pant had consumed 26 balls in scoring 28 runs, which further built the pressure on him. In an attempt to break those shackles, he edged a cut shot against leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal into wicketkeeper Sanju Samson's gloves.
Pant's dismissal gave RR further control of proceedings. DC skipper realised that, which is probably why he couldn't control his anger and smashed his bat while entering the tunnel on his way to the dressing room.
DC will next host defending champions Chennai Super Kings on March 31.
