NEW DELHI: The bonhomie between players from India and Afghanistan has been a consistent feature, both on and off the field. The latest video that went viral on social media is yet another testament to the strong bond shared by players from both teams.
In the video, Afghanistan wicketkeeper
Rahmanullah Gurbaz
was seen playfully interrupting Indian batter
Rinku Singh
's nap during a flight.
Once Rinku realised it was all in good fun orchestrated by Gurbaz, he responded with a smile.
Earlier,
Suryakumar Yadav
and
Rashid Khan
were engaged in a social media interaction after the Afghanistan star spinner posted a video of him practicing in the nets on Instagram with a caption "I've missed you".
The top-ranked T20I batter Suryakumar replied to his post saying "And I will miss you". Both players are not part of the current three-match series due to injuries.
India registered a comfortable win over Afghanistan in the first Twenty20 international in Mohali on Thursday to lead the series 1-0.
Shivam Dube, a left-handed batsman, made an unbeaten 60 off 40 balls for his second T20 fifty as India chased down their victory target of 159 with 15 balls and six wickets to spare at Mohali.
India's bowlers led by spinner Axar Patel restricted Afghanistan to 158-5 despite an attacking 42 by Mohammad Nabi on a chilly winter evening.
