India wrist spinner Ravi Bishnoi took a stunning catch against Zimbabwe to dismiss Brian Bennett during the third T20I of the five-match series on Wednesday, July 10 at Harare Sports Club, Harare. Chasing a massive target of 183, Zimbabwe were reeling at 19/2 after three overs with openers Wessly Madhevere (1 off 2) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (13 off 10) back in the pavilion.
Facing Avesh Khan in the fourth over, Bennet slashed hard at a delivery outside off stump as the ball travelled in the air towards backward point. Ravi Bishnoi, who was stationed at the fielding position, timed his jump to perfection and grabbed a stunner, leaving everyone on the field awestruck.
Following the breathtaking fielding display, everyone rushed to applaud Bishnoi while Bennet could do nothing but smile after being undone by the spectacular catch. Earlier, Bishnoi also took a one-handed stunner to dismiss Kane Williamson in the Indian Premier League 2024.

With the ball, Bishnoi didn’t have a memorable game as he leaked 37 runs from his four overs. However, he’s still the joint highest wicket-taker of the series along with Washington Sundar with six wickets to his name from three innings at an average of 10.16 and an economy of 5.08.
India go 2-1 up in the series
Returning to the match, India captain Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bat first as the team made four changes. The Men in Blue posted a good score of 182/4 in their allotted 20 overs courtesy of a brilliant half-century from captain Shubman Gill (66 off 49) and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 49 (28).
In reply, Zimbabwe were left reeling at 39/5 after 7 overs before a brilliant 77-run partnership off 57 balls between Dion Myers (65* off 49) and Clibe Madande (37 off 26) kept them alive in the game. Their stand was broken by Washington Sundar who picked 3/15 in four overs to bring India back into the game. As a result, Zimbabwe could only reach 159/6 in their 20 overs handing India a 23-run win to go 2-1 up in the five-match series.
