NEW DELHI:
Rishabh Pant
might have been away from the Indian team for more than a year due to injury but he often makes appearances on the cricket field and reunites with his teammates.
In the latest video that emerges on social media, Pant was seen engaging in a fun chat with
Virat Kohli
during the team's training session at the Chinnaswamy stadium ahead of the third T20I against Afghanistan.
Pant had met with a horrifying car accident in December 2022 and missed the entire 2023 after undergoing a knee surgery.
The 26-year-old suffered multiple injuries and is currently undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. However, he is expected to be back to action during the IPL which starts on March 22.
India eye whitewash
Having already secured the series, India will be keen on refining their newly developed T20 strategy as a cohesive team in the upcoming Wednesday clash against Afghanistan, marking the third and final match of the series.
As the last T20 fixture for India before the World Cup in June, the team management aims to maintain the high level of intensity showcased in the victories at Mohali and Indore.
Kohli's brilliant return to T20Is
Kohli was playing a T20I for India after 14 months at Indore, but he creamed a 16-ball 29 at a strike rate of 181. He has always been a bit of a slow-mover against spin but there was no trepidation this time and he showed commendable alacrity to contribute his two cents to a transformed approach.
