NEW DELHI: Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya responded stylishly to Kolkata Knight Riders' dangerous batsman
Sunil Narine
during their
IPL 2024
match at a jam-packed Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday.
Pandya, who came into the attack in the fifth over, was welcomed with a massive six over square leg by Narine.
However, Pandya's disappointment quickly turned to triumph as he came back for his second delivery and clean-bowled Narine, sending the dangerous batter packing for just 8 runs.
Narine tried to slog but missed, resulting in his leg stump being knocked over.
WATCH:
Mumbai Indians have won just three out of their 10 games so far and find themselves in the penultimate spot on the points table.
Pandya, who assumed the captaincy from Rohit Sharma ahead of the IPL 2024 season, has faced challenges making an impact with both bat and ball in the cash-rich league.
