NEW DELHI: In a dazzling display of athleticism, Gujarat Titans'
Noor Ahmad
dived to perfection to claim a breathtaking catch, sending Delhi Capitals'
Prithvi Shaw
back to the dugout during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the
Arun Jaitley Stadium
in Delhi.
The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 4th over when
Sandeep Warrier
banged in a short one and Shaw was slightly cramped for room on the pull, but he swivelled across and went through with the shot.
It was a touch-and-go moment, but Ahmad somehow got his fingers under the ball. The third umpire had his doubts over the clean take of the catch, as he checked it quite a few times before giving the decision in Gujarat Titans' favour.
The stunning catch left spectators in awe of Ahmad's agility and reflexes. With lightning-fast reactions, Ahmad ran forward before timing his dive to ultimately get hold of the catch.
Ahmad's remarkable effort not only showcased his fielding prowess but also served as a pivotal moment in the match, highlighting the unpredictable and electrifying nature of cricket's shortest format.
