NEW DELHI: The Big Bash League in Australia is known for innovative inventions. From Bat Flip for the toss, to the latest Electra Stumps, the innovations at the league keep getting better and better.
One such innovation has been the Player Mic that has been going on for quite some now in the BBL.
In the match between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder at the Lavington Sports Oval in Albury on Saturday, it was Melbourne Stars captain Glenn Maxwell who was on the Player Mic talking to the panel of commentators that included former pacer Brett Lee amongst others.
The conversation ranged from field placings to a fine stop by Marcus Stoinis in the covers.
The hilarious remarks by Maxwell drew laughter from the commentators on more than one occasion.
The Big Bash League shared a compilation of the interactions on their social media handle X:
As far as the match is concerned, Sydney Thunder won by 5 wickets.
