NEW DELHI: The Indian dressing room was a happy bunch of cricketers after their crushing 68-run victory against England at Guyana on Thursday.
And before the team left for Barbados for the final against

South Africa

, it was time for the fielder of the match medal presentation ceremony.
The Indian cricket board (BCCI) shared a link of the presentation ceremony video on their official X handle.

As usual, India fielding coach T Dilip addressed the team lauding the players' co-ordination. Dilip singled out

Virat Kohli

,

Hardik Pandya

,

Ravindra Jadeja

, Axar Patel and

Suryakumar Yadav

for showing tremendous zeal in shifting their positions to the hot zones every time.

Dilip lauded Surya for the backflip run out of

Adil Rashid

and Kuldeep Yadav for the run out of Liam Livingstone.
Dilip heaped praise on

Rishabh Pant

for having the awareness for being terrific behind the stumps on a pitch that had odd bounce as some ball were keeping up and some down and also execute a run out.
Dilip then called up former cricketer

Dinesh Karthik

, who is doing commentary in the tournament, to present the fielder of the match medal.

While presenting the medal to Pant, Karthik said, "There are many stories in sport but there are not many better than to the person I am giving the medal to. What he's gone through a year ago, I think six months ago, no one expected him to be in this team, not many would have expected him to play this sport this early, but for him to come out here and play the way he has done, all are very happy for him and he has made millions happy by just being on the field - Rishabh Pant."

India will take on South Africa in the final at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday.
The Proteas are also undefeated after crushing Afghanistan by nine wickets in their semifinal.
