The alleged differences between
Ravindra Jadeja
and his father, Anirudhsinh, in an interview of the latter published recently forced the Indian cricketer to come out and respond, as the accusations by his father not only involved him but also his wife,
Rivaba
.
Calling the interview as "scripted", Jadeja posted a message in Gujarati on his 'X' Account, saying: "The things mentioned in the dubious interview with Divya Bhaskar are meaningless and false...The attempt to tarnish the image of my wife is improper and condemnable.
I also have a lot to say, but it is better that I don't reveal those things in public."
In the interview, Anirudhsinh held his daughter-in-law Rivaba responsible for creating a rift in the family. He also alleged that his son (Ravindra) has cut all communication with him and his sister after getting married to Rivaba.
Ravindra's father also claimed that he survives on the Rs 20,000 pension of his late wife and lives alone.
Rivaba, who is also a BJP MLA, was recently a public event where she was asked to respond on the matter, which visibly irritated her and she asked the reporter to contact her directly instead for a respnose.
“Why are we here today? You can contact me directly if you want to know about it,” said Rivaba in a video posted by Zee 24 Kalak on Instagram.
Jadeja, who is nursing a hamstring injury, has returned to the Indian squad for the last three Tests against England after sitting out of the second match, but his participation is subject to a medical clearance by the BCCI medical team.
