, when a 35-year-old footballer was struck by

lightning

and died.
The horrifying moment at the Siliwangi Stadium in Bandung, West Java, was captured on video, showing the player collapsing soon after but was reportedly breathing after the incident and taken to a hospital, according to PRFM Media.

However, he succumbed soon after.

A similar incident had happened last year in

Indonesia

during the Soeratin U-13 Cup, where a young player lost his life after being struck by lightning.
Also last year, the 21-year-old Brazilian footballer Caio Henrique de Lima Goncalves met similar tragic fate after becoming a victim of lightning while playing for his team Uniao Jaiirense in Parana.
