Ever since the BCCI officially declared
Rishabh Pant
fully fit to return to competitive cricket, the anticipation around the wicketkeeper-batsman's much-awaited comeback has soared.
Adding to that euphoria, Delhi Capitals came up with a 'cute' way to deliver Pant his team jersey ahead of the upcoming
IPL 2024
season.
"Dil se aur Dilli se, welcome home Rishabh", read the caption along with the video posted by DC on microblogging website 'X'.
"Aapko na bohot miss kiya, Rishu bhaiya," says the little kid who delivers a gift box contining the DC jersey to Pant at his doorstep.
"I am ready, milke machayenge roar," says Pant in the video, after wearing the jersey.
On Monday, Pant was declared fully fit by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which cleared way for him to play for DC in the new IPL season.
IPL 2024 begins on March 22, and Pant has joined the Delhi Capitals camp in Vizag.
DC will meet Punjab Kings in their season opener on March 23 at the newly-built Punjab Cricket Association stadium in Mullanpur.
