Watch: Hyderabad-Kuala Lumpur flight makes emergency landing after engine catches fire mid-air

HYDERABAD: Over 100 passengers on a flight bound for Malaysia experienced a nerve-wracking situation when their Malaysian airlines flight was forced to make an unscheduled landing at Hyderabad airport. The emergency touchdown was necessitated by technical issues that arose during the journey
According to Hyderabad airport officials, the flight MH199, carrying 138 passengers, departed for Kuala Lumpur at 12:45 am on Thursday.

However, shortly after takeoff, the

aircraft

was forced to return to the airport and make an emergency landing.

It was learnt that the aircraft experienced an

engine

malfunction, causing sparks to emanate from the affected engine. On the other hand, passengers were stranded in the airport as the flight is still on the ground.
