NEW DELHI: As Team India gears up for the highly anticipated

Border-Gavaskar Trophy

, preparations are already underway in Perth ahead of the first Test, scheduled to begin on November 22.
The Indian team, led by coach Gautam Gambhir, were seen at the iconic

WACA Stadium

, with players like KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill leading the charge in the nets on Tuesday.
Rahul, who has been focusing on regaining his form, was joined by his fellow top-order batsmen as they sharpened their skills in the practice session.
Star players like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravichandran Ashwin, however, opted out of Tuesday's session and were expected to join training on Wednesday.

In an interesting move to maintain privacy during their preparations, a tall black fence was erected around the training area.
This new security measure ensures that the Indian team’s practice sessions are shielded from the public eye, keeping their strategies under wraps.
A video from the session showed the fringe players practising in the nets, while the star batters, including Kohli, were not seen in the footage.

This extra layer of security is part of India’s cautious approach to the series, ensuring that they remain focused on the task ahead without distractions.
The entire Indian squad arrived in two separate batches, with the first batch, including young players like Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, already in Perth.
As revealed by TimesofIndia.com, Virat Kohli, in fact, was the first of the squad to land in the city, travelling ahead of the main group.
However, despite the team's early arrival, there is some uncertainty surrounding the availability of captain Rohit Sharma for the first Test due to personal reasons.
